My Review: 5 stars
I have loved reading Meredith's work since her first book. She has always written a great story and this is no different. It was heart breaking for both Maya and Cameron to have suffered for so long because of things going the way they did. One moment in time changed everything for them, and not for the better. That one moment made Maya guard her heart fiercely and she refused to let anyone get close to her again, at least in that way. The secrets between them were what drove them to be where they are now. Cameron may have been the one to walk away, but his life was altered drastically by that moment as well. He never forgave himself for what he did. When him and Maya meet up again and he realizes what his actions did to her, it's difficult for him to take. He didn't know all the reasons why until this time around, and not until much later in their reunion does he know. By that time, everything is different for them. I loved Cam and Maya together, in the end they were exactly where they should be. Meredith once again draws you into the story and doesn't let go until the last page. I am looking forward to the next book in the series about Vanessa and Darren, Into The Fire.
